Security Patrols

security patrols Security PatrolsAll Nation Security Services patroloperations are well known for their thoroughness, punctuality and exceptional attention to detail. Guards assigned to patrol duty drive or walk from one location to another in order to conduct security checks in pre-determined locations on their route or ‘beat’. They are constantly on the lookout for anything unusual that might indicate a break-in or theft as well as suspicious individual who may be planning or about to execute criminal activity.

Patrol officers do not have the same powers of arrest as police officers or sheriff’s deputies, but they can and do make “citizens arrests” and detain suspects until law enforcement officers arrive on the scene. They also answer service calls concerning criminal activity or problems and issue traffic citations and warning notices if necessary.

There are also armed security officers who work in armored cars to escort money and other valuables and protect individuals who make large commercial bank deposits. When picking up valuables to be transported such as monies from a bank, some ANSS officers wear bullet-proof vests for protection.

The specific job responsibilities of patrol officers depends on the post they are assigned to. In some cases, our officers have been known to patrol on bicycles, golf carts and even on horseback.
